Helen Loeffler, MSN, CNM, PMH-C

Hi, I’m Helen!

Helen Loeffler, MSN, CNM, PMH-C

Helen comes to the Rumina Center from six years of providing pregnancy and gynecologic care at the Women’s ObGyn Group and St Agnes hospital. Previously she worked for a private midwifery practice in Pennsylvania, and has a nursing background in postpartum and newborn care. Helen is passionate about improving postpartum care and supporting families during this important transition. She is working towards a post-master’s certificate to become a psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner in order to address the critical need for perinatal mental health care.

In addition to offering support groups and postpartum mental health visits, Helen can work together with the lactation consultants to diagnose and treat issues related to supply and breast pain or infections. She offers family planning counseling, fertility discussions, and prenatal consultations for patients with histories of lactation problems.

Helen moved to Baltimore in 2013 with her husband, Josh. They have two young daughters who love swimming, Netflix, and anything with sprinkles on it. Both of Helen’s daughters were late term preemies, so she understands the challenges of the NICU, pumping, and navigating uncertainty in the early weeks. She supports families in figuring out the feeding and parenting choices that work best for them and their babies.

Outside of work you’ll find Helen with a good cuppa tea, pulling weeds in the garden, walking the dog, and pretending to be interested in Minecraft.
